Lara Brewery on the European podium
Lara Brewery has won two awards in one of the most important competitions in Europe, the ARMONIA “Craft Beer & Food Pairing”, beating hundreds of competing breweries.
The awards ceremony took place in Parma on 29/06/2016. ARMONIA is currently the only beer competition that takes a multidisciplinary approach and involves producers, tasters, chefs, foodies and consumers. The panel of Italian and European judges was personally selected by Lorenzo Kuaska Dabove, the competition’s technical director, who is considered the most famous and sought-after beer expert in the world. There were 150 breweries competing and 300 beers brought to the judges’ table.
A multidisciplinary approach that is unique in Europe
The European competition was open to all craft breweries based in Europe and focused on the quality of the beers, but above all on beer pairings and beer-based culinary creations in the catering sector.
ARMONIA rewards excellence and aims to promote the informed use of the product in the kitchen and at the table, creating useful synergies to ensure the product is properly valued and to increase its distribution and marketing in the catering sector, especially abroad. What made the competition even more unique was the involvement of consumers themselves as a popular jury.
